Privacy Policy
Blocky is built to run entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. Your browsing never leaves your phone. Blocky has no user accounts and runs no analytics or advertising SDKs.
How Blocky works (and why it can't see your browsing)
Blocky provides content blocking rules to Safari through Apple's Safari Content Blocker system. Safari loads these rules and applies them itself, on your device, as pages load. Blocky and its extensions are never told which pages you open, what you search for, or what you type. There is no browsing history for us to see, record, or send.
Information we do NOT collect
- The websites you visit, URLs, searches, or page contents
- Your IP address, location, or device identifiers
- Usage analytics, behavioral data, or advertising identifiers
- Any personal information — we have no accounts and no sign-in
Device permissions we use
- Safari Extensions — you enable Blocky's content blockers (Ads, Trackers, Annoyances, Adult Sites) in Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions. Enabling them lets Safari load our block rules; it does not give Blocky access to your browsing.
- Whitelist — any sites you choose to allow are stored only on your device, inside the app's private App Group container. They are never uploaded.
You can review or change these anytime in Settings → Safari and inside the app.
Filter list updates
To keep blocking effective, Blocky periodically downloads updated filter lists (generic rule files that describe ad and tracker patterns). These downloads fetch rule files only — they contain no information about you or the sites you visit, and nothing about your browsing is sent in the request.
Subscriptions and purchases
Blocky Premium is processed entirely by Apple. We never receive or store your payment information. Apple provides us only aggregate, anonymized sales data and handles all billing under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data retention
Because we collect no personal data, we have nothing to retain or delete on any server. App settings (enabled filters, whitelist, preferences) are stored locally and removed when you delete the app.
Third parties
Blocky does not share data with third parties. The only external service involved is Apple's App Store / StoreKit for subscriptions, plus the filter-list downloads described above.
Children's privacy
Blocky does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. It collects no personal data from any user.
Your rights
Because we don't collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete. You remain in full control through iOS.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Effective date" above.

Terms of Service
By downloading or using Blocky ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and these Terms.
2. The service
Blocky supplies content blocking rules to Safari to help hide ads, block trackers, remove cookie banners and other annoyances, and block adult websites, plus an on-device whitelist for sites you choose to allow. Blocking is performed by Safari using publicly maintained filter lists. Blocky cannot guarantee that every ad, tracker, or unwanted element will be blocked, and some websites may not display or function correctly while blocking is active. You may whitelist any site at any time.
3. Subscriptions (Blocky Premium)
- Blocky Premium is offered as a Monthly or Yearly auto-renewable subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase.
- The Yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID upon confirmation of purchase, or at the end of any free trial.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged within 24 hours prior to renewal.
- Manage or cancel in Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- The Lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-consumable unlock for the current app and does not auto-renew.
- Prices may vary by region; Apple processes all payments.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, reverse engineer it (except as permitted by law), or use it to violate any law or another person's rights.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Ad and tracker blocking depends on Safari and on third-party filter lists that change over time; we do not warrant that blocking will be complete, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that all websites will function normally while blocking is enabled.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Disolutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Changes
We may modify the App or these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Gujarat and the laws of India, without regard to their conflict of law principles.

Support
How do I turn Blocky on?
Open Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions (or Settings → Safari → Extensions), turn on Ads and Trackers, and choose Allow for all websites. The app checks the status live and confirms once Safari has them enabled — no fake green lights.
I enabled it but still see ads on a site — why?
A few reasons: the extension may not be allowed for that specific website, the filter lists may not yet cover that ad, or the site is on your whitelist. Try reloading the page, confirm both extensions are on for all websites, and make sure the site isn't whitelisted.
Does Blocky see or upload my browsing?
No. Safari applies the block rules on your device. Blocky is never told which pages you visit, and nothing about your browsing is uploaded or collected.
What's included in Premium, and what plans are there?
Premium unlocks all filters — ads, trackers, cookie banners & annoyances, and adult-site blocking — plus the whitelist. It's available as a Monthly or Yearly subscription (Yearly may include a 7-day free trial) or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices vary by region and are shown in the app.
How do I allow (whitelist) a site I want to support?
Open the App, go to the Whitelist section, and add the site's domain. Blocky will stop blocking on that site. Your whitelist is stored only on your device.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open the App and tap Restore on the plan screen, signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions → Blocky and turn off auto-renew. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. A one-time Lifetime purchase has nothing to cancel.
I just subscribed but the app still shows the plan screen.
Force-quit and reopen the App so it can re-check your subscription, or tap Restore on the plan screen. If it persists, email us and we'll help.
Does the adult-content filter make Blocky safe for kids?
The Adult Sites filter blocks many adult websites in Safari when enabled, but no filter is perfect. It is one layer of protection and not a substitute for iOS Screen Time content restrictions.
