Minutely ("Minutely," "we," "us") is a voice meeting recorder for iOS, operated by
D.I. Solutions. This policy explains what data Minutely collects, why, how it is
used, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
The short version. Recordings start on your device. When you transcribe or
summarize a meeting, the audio and the resulting transcript are sent to our secure backend and to
our transcription/AI provider to produce your transcript, summary, action items, and chat answers.
We use a random device identifier to track your credit balance, and a small set of anonymous usage
and crash events to keep the app working. That's it. No ads, no tracking across other apps, no sale
of your data.
Captured on device; uploaded to our backend and our transcription provider for processing
Transcripts & summaries
To produce the transcript, summary, key decisions, action items, and chat answers
Generated by our backend / AI provider and returned to your device
Chat questions
To answer questions about a recording, grounded in its transcript
Sent to our backend / AI provider
Device identifier
To maintain your recording-minute credit balance
Our backend credit ledger (a random per-install ID — not your name, email, or Apple ID)
Purchase data
To grant the credits you buy and validate purchases
Apple App Store + our backend (transaction IDs)
Usage & crash data
To understand the basic feature funnel and fix crashes
Google Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (anonymous/aggregated events; see §5)
We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or contacts. Sign-in is optional;
the app is fully usable in guest mode.
3. How recordings are processed
Recording begins locally on your device after you grant microphone access.
When you transcribe/summarize, the audio is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to
our backend, which relays it to our transcription and language-model provider (NVIDIA) to generate
your transcript, summary, action items, and chat responses.
Audio and transcripts are processed only to deliver these features. They are not
used to train third-party models for advertising, and they are not sold.
4. Storage and retention
On your device: your recordings, transcripts, and summaries live on your device
and are removed when you delete the recording or uninstall the app.
On our backend: audio sent for processing is used transiently to generate results
and is not retained as a permanent archive beyond what is needed to deliver the feature and ensure
reliability. The credit ledger retains only a random device identifier and a minute balance.
You can delete a recording and its associated data from within the app at any time.
5. Third parties
NVIDIA — speech transcription and language-model processing for transcripts,
summaries, and chat.
Apple — In-App Purchases and App Store Server notifications for credit packs.
Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) — anonymous usage events
(e.g. "recording started," "paywall viewed") and crash diagnostics to keep the app stable. We do not
send your recordings, transcripts, or chat content to Firebase.
6. What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
We do not serve third-party advertising in the app.
7. Your choices
Decline microphone access — the app still opens, but recording is unavailable.
Delete any recording (and its transcript/summary) from the app.
Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored content.
Minutely is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region) and we
do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Security
Data in transit is protected with industry-standard TLS/HTTPS. Our backend holds processing keys
server-side so they are never exposed in the app. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure,
but we work to protect your information.
10. International users
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including the United States.
By using Minutely you consent to this processing.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date
above and, where appropriate, noting the change in the app.
